Aren't beagles noisy? E-mail
Saturday, 09 February 2008

When they are on a scent or letting you know there's an intruder somewhere nearby (nearby occasionally being the mailman 2 blocks away), some beagles have a bay that will raise the dead. Some beagles mostly bark, just like other dogs. Some beagles just chuff. A bored beagle is more likely to bay and bark than a beagle that is an integrated and exercised part of the family. The best way to get a beagle to be noisy is to leave it alone a lot. A beagle that is a fully integrated member of the family and that is kept indoors is generally a very quiet dog.
