Should I get a puppy or an adult? |

The answer to this totally depends on your life and lifestyle. Beagle puppies are very, VERY energetic, stubborn and need a lot of exercise, consistent guidance and a lot of patience. If you're gone 8-10 hours a day and aren't ready to get up early and go to bed late to give your puppy the time it needs, an older dog would be a better choice. Older dogs are euthanized every day in shelters because they are not "cute little puppies" any more. We like puppies as much as the next person, but we really, really love adult and senior dogs.
