What colors do beagles come in? E-mail
Thursday, 07 February 2008

Beagles can come in a variety of colors and patterns. The most common is of course the "tri-color" - black white and brown, with a clear saddle marking. Another common coloration is red where the black pigment is sometimes missing entirely. There are also lemon beagles, which are less common, and ticked beagles - red or black/blue - that seem to be more common in the South.

A beagle can look very different from the AKC bench standard but still be a beagle.
