What does a foster home pay for? E-mail
Friday, 08 February 2008

Our foster homes are well supported. Generally we try and loan a crate, supply enough food to last a while, give any medication the dog may need and other basic supplies like a collar and leash and bed. If the foster home has stuff available or is willing to donate those things to ABR then we totally appreciate that. We generally do not supply toys and treats and grooming supplies, etc.

In an emergency situation the foster home may need to pay for something up front, but we work with several local veterinarians and usually have a tab available. Any emergency expenditures approved by the Board are reimbursed.
