It's always good to get away every now and then and our weekend in Charleston was a very nice break. The weather was gorgeous and the beach always calming and refreshing.

The Help the Hounds Happy Hour in East Atlanta last Saturday was a rousing success! The final tally is being made, but there are enough proceeds to benefit both ARB and Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia very nicely. It's a great way to bring in spring!

We always have veterinary bills and a good portion of the benefit money will be going toward our tab and for paying for heartworm treatments and some dental work. We will also be seeding Jake's Fund with some of this money.  It's always wise to put a little away for a rainy day.

We have some donations from a raffle prize winner and some wonderful and very stylish small dog jackets donated to us by a crafty dog lover. We will be opening an eBay store for these items and any other donations like them.
