We will be "closed" until March 2nd as we are having ourselves a little vacation to Charleston. Rescuers don't get much of a chance to do things like take vacations, so when you get the opportunity, you go. We will be without dogs and without Internet for three whole days and are very much looking forward to it.

One of the reasons we try and keep our rescue small is so that we can do things like get away for a day or two. Planning longer vacations takes a bit of coordination - you can't really take in any dogs about a month before you go, and then there's your own dogs to consider. We don't board our dogs - we get a dog sitter. Our last long vacation cost us almost $1000 just in house/pet-sitting.
