Are beagles good with kids?

Yes!! Of course there are exceptions, but generally beagles make GREAT family dogs. They are bred to be in a pack and therefore have excellent pack social skills. They are generally happy go lucky and love to be around their people. Older beagles may be less tolerant of the pokey-pulling action of smaller children, but by and large the beagle is hard-wired to be a kid's best friend.
