Whether you need to find a new home for your beagle, or you have found a stray beagle, we ask that you hold onto the dog and give us a chance to promote the dog and find a home. ABR will help with preliminary expenses like deworming, defleaing and food (funding depending). If you are not able to keep the dog for a week or two and must take it to a shelter, please make sure you let us know which shelter the dog has gone into. We have relationships with most of the shelters in the metro Atlanta area and we can follow up with them to continue giving the dog the best chance of getting rescued.
We will need photos of the dog. The best photos are taken outside with natural light. Ideally we need a "personality" photo of the face, a side shot, and a shot that shows the beagle's size compared to a person. Check the photos before you send them - blurry photos or "devil dog" eyes from flash detract from the cuteness and don't make a good impression. Our statistics show that good face shots get more clicks than any other type of photo. Please try and crop your photos to about 600px by 600px. You will have less trouble uploading. If you are unable to attach photos with the form, please send them separately to intake@atlantabeaglerescue.org with the dog's name in the subject line.
