We have several volunteer positions that we need filled. None of these positions require a full work week, but you should be able to do a few things such as make phone calls and return emails during the week.

Intake Coordinator

This position will review the submitted intake forms and post courtesy listings to our main dog listing portal. We get intake requests from all over and from owners, shelters, people finding strays, etc. Sometimes we can help a dog stay with an owner with some training or some veterinary support. We never have the amount of foster space needed to say yes to all our intake requests. It will be the task of the Intake Coordinator to see what dogs can be kept where they are while we promote them and what dogs urgently need foster care and what dogs we can't help at all. The ability to help with transport is appreciated, but not necessary. You will need computer skills and a commitment to follow through on contacts and stay up to date on listings.

Foster Home Coordinator

This position is going to start out slow - we don't have a lot of foster homes at the moment. We hope with someone acting as coordinator though they can take on the job of promoting fostering for Atlanta Beagle Rescue. The main responsibility of this position will be to review foster home applications, check references and do home visits as well as process and keep up to date the paperwork that is required by the State Department of Agriculture (the department that licenses us). It is not required, but it is preferable that you live near the perimeter. We try and keep our foster homes ITP for ease of doing adoption events and transport to our veterinarians.

Events Coordinator

Do you like to plan things? Are you all over Facebook promoting anything and everything? Can you make good flyers? We desperately need an Events Coordinator who can help us do a lot more events. We want to participate in as many festivals and fund-raising events as possible, and also throw a few of our own. This position is a little more time-consuming, but guaranteed fun for a well-organized outgoing think-outside-the-box type of person.

We'll probably do phone interviews first and move on to in person interviews. You can live OTP, but should be available to come in town for an interview and training. Those will most likely be scheduled on the weekend.
